Cristina Uribe serves as the Director of Campaigns at The Center for Cultural Power. A veteran strategist and manager working at the intersection of advocacy, storytelling, and politics, she has held senior management roles at several organizations, including California Director of the Ballot Initiative Strategy Center (BISC), and Senior Advisor for Strategic Initiatives at the National Education Association (NEA). She has led campaigns and civic engagement efforts in dozens of states across the country. Her work with labor unions, non-profits, and advocacy organizations focused on the development of plans and strategies including campaign management, coalition building, research, and facilitation. Most recently Cristina served as the Director of Civic Engagement, leading the Center’s 2020 “Movement to the Ballot Box” campaign, partnering with authentic and compelling storytellers to increase civic participation and mobilize a historic voter turnout. Cristina also serves as the Director of Political Strategy at the Cultural Engagement Lab, our 501c(4) sister advocacy organization.
