Haleh Hatami is a storyteller who uses film, photo and prose to raise the visibility and viability of change makers. She brings experience in public policy, legislative affairs, communications and philanthropy, working with nonprofits and film production companies for more than 18 years. Her work draws from advocacy in public health, public education and international security. She graduated with a BA in Political Science from UC Berkeley, MA in History from the University of Chicago, and MFA in Creative Writing from San Francisco State University. In addition to publications and awards in poetry, including translation, she has taught writing at Mills College and San Francisco State University.
